Subject Form: is used when a pronoun is the subject of a sentence or the subject of a clause.

  • She and I skied three days last week.
  • He is the man who I thought would win.  

Objective Form: is used when a pronoun is the direct object, the indirect object, the subject of an infinitive, or the object of a preposition.

  • The exam gave him a headache.
  • The woman whom they elected was experienced.
  • We invited them to eat with us.
  • Most of us hated to get up.  
Possessive Form: is used before nouns and gerunds.
  • His sisters needed our bicycles.
  • Their flying to Nashville was my suggestion.
