These documents, prepared by members of the English department, will help you avoid the most common errors.
There are many other writing sites on the web that can help you sharpen your grammar skills. Here are a few of our favorites:
- St. Cloud University's LEO: Literacy Education Online LEO provides helpful information about a wide range of writing related topics. It also covers different categories of writing, such as "writing for school," "writing in a business or technical setting," and "writing to get a job."
- Purdue University Online Writing Lab (OWL)
Purdue's OWL has one of the best online collections of writing resources. The Index of Handouts lists over 100 handouts arranged by categories. If you do not know which category your writing concern fits into, you may wish to view the summaries of the general categories.
- Norton's Grammar Exercises W.W. Norton has interactive grammar exercises which you can download to test your grammar skills.
